Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie, and we're on day three of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today's mini meditation is a beautiful ancient Buddhist practice called metta. If you want to pause for a moment to feel good and to also raise the positive energetic vibration of yourself, another person, and the entire world, this one-minute meditation is for you. So go ahead, get into your comfortable space or do this practice on the go. The beauty of Meta is that it can be done anytime, anywhere. So together, let's go in. Place a hand or two over your heart, take a deep breath, connect to your heartbeat, and say these words out loud or in your mind to yourself. May you be safe, may you be healthy, may you be happy, may you know that you are loved. Now bring into your mind another person, maybe the first person who appears in your mind. Picture them in front of you and right from your heart offer the same words. May you be safe, may you be healthy, may you be happy, may you know that you are loved. And now take a nice deep breath and extend this loving kindness metta to the entire world. See all the people, the animals, nature, the trees, the water, the stars, and from the very center of your heart, once again, repeat these words. May you be safe, may you be healthy, may you be happy, may you know that you are loved. As you move through your day, carry metta with you. Send love to yourself, to others, and to the whole universe. This positive energy, this practice creates a ripple effect that touches lives in more ways than we may ever know. Thank you for meditating with me today. Be sure to subscribe and come back tomorrow for day four of this challenge and another meditation trip.
