Day 4: Calm with Forest Sounds | 30-Day 1-Minute Meditation Challenge

Julie Skon Season 2 Episode 4

Send us a text

Day 4 of the Meditation Drip podcast offers a one-minute guided meditation for calming your nervous system using forest sounds and visualization inspired by shinrin-yoku (Japanese forest bathing).

In this short mindfulness practice, Julie Skon guides you into a soothing sensory experience: breathing deeply, visualizing a peaceful forest, and tuning into sound, scent, and sensation to reduce stress and restore calm. Research shows that forest bathing supports mental health, lowers stress, boosts mood, and supports immune function.

Perfect for anxiety relief, nervous system regulation, and daily mindfulness, this mini meditation can be practiced anytime, anywhere.

This episode is part of the 30-day, one-minute meditation challenge.

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie, and we are on day four of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Your mini meditation today is for calming your nervous system. I will be playing some nice forest sounds in the background for you to tune into as I guide you through. And this is because being in a forest, as you may know, is naturally soothing and healing for us. So let's go into meditation together. Please get comfortable. If you're able to close your eyes for this meditation, we will be doing some visualization. Take a nice inhale. And a longer, slower exhale. Continue with this breathing rhythm. Being in nature, around trees in a forest is naturally soothing and healing. So let's put you there. Close your eyes and visualize yourself in the midst of a beautiful forest. Create a stunning and beautiful scene for yourself. Surrounded by tall trees, layers of greens and colors. Notice shapes and textures around you. And imagine your feet planted on the soft soil of the forest floor. Listen to the sounds of nature playing in the background. Feel yourself there. Feel the fresh air upon your skin. Smell the calming scent of pine in the air. Breathe this air in, allowing it to nourish your body. And slowly exhale, feeling a quiet calm now flowing through your body. The peaceful essence of the forest now within you. As you move through your day, take the magic of Shinran Roku with you. Science shows that just minutes of forest bathing, immersing yourself in nature, has layers of benefits for your mind and body. Thank you for meditating with me today. I'll see you tomorrow for day five of this challenge. Don't forget to subscribe for more, share with your friends, and find me on healwildly.com.
