SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. I am Julie Scann, and we are on day six of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today's Mindful Drip is a mini meditation that utilizes gratitude as a mood shifter. And I don't know about you, but when I focus on everything that there is to be grateful for, and it doesn't matter how big or how small, my mood shifts and brightens. And coincidentally, studies show that practicing gratitude boosts our happiness by releasing serotonin and dopamine. It actually activates the regions of our brain responsible for feelings of pleasure and calm and reduces our stress levels. So let's spend the next minute activating the law of gratitude, which basically says that the more we focus on what we are thankful for, the more we attract positive experiences, abundance, and happiness. For this meditation, I will be guiding you through a few self-reflective questions, giving you a bit of space in between each. As the answers come to your mind, feel free to say them out loud or just mindfully reflect on what comes up for you. So take a nice deep breath. Allow yourself to settle in. Right now, in this moment, what are some little things that you are grateful for? What is a recent moment or memory that you're grateful for? Who is someone you are grateful for? Thank you for meditating today in activating gratitude, and I will leave you with this. John Kabitson said, the little things, the little moments, they aren't little. So let's remember to celebrate the little and the big things to be thankful for. And watch as more comes your way. Please subscribe and find more meditations and mindfulness at healwildly.com.
