Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie, and we are on day seven of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today's meditation is a one-minute somatic practice to unwind or release any tension you are holding in your body. This is a great practice to turn to when you're feeling stressed and to get yourself into a more relaxed state. So let's unwind together and go into meditation. Whether you are standing, sitting, or lying down, on your next inhale, take a slow, deep breath in. And as you do, squeeze and tighten your fists. Hold for a few seconds and slowly release, allowing your hands to open and soften. Next, slowly inhale and squeeze your shoulders as you lift them up towards your chin. Holding here and feeling that tension build. And when you're ready, slowly exhaling, letting them roll back down to rest. And now wrap your arms around yourself, giving yourself a giant hug. Inhaling and holding and squeezing, and slowly letting go, allowing your body to once again relax. And one more time, this time for your legs, squeezing those muscles as you inhale, holding and releasing. Notice how you feel right now. This squeeze and release somatic practice connects your mind and body, giving you that awareness for where you are holding or storing any tension in your body, and also that experience of how good it feels to release it as you consciously move into a more relaxed way of being.com or on YouTube as well as Substack. Have a beautiful day.
