SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie, and we are on day eight of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. In today's practice, we will be utilizing the beautiful Indian wisdom of the chakra system, which was actually found in the ancient text of the Vedas thousands of years ago. So the chakras are the energy centers that line your body and each have a specific meaning for you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. As we go through our days, our energy naturally ebbs and flows. And your chakras can become blocked or balanced. So for today's practice, I will be guiding you through a short but effective practice for you to utilize the chakra system to check in with your energy and identify any needs you may currently have. So let's go into meditation and check in with your chakra energy. If possible, please close your eyes and guide your breath and awareness first into your tailbone. This is your root, your muladhara. It's your center of feeling grounded, rooted, and connected. As you guide your breath and awareness into this space, just answer this question. In this moment, do you feel grounded and connected in your body? Moving up into your lower abdomen, your sacral chakra, your shvaristana. This is your center of emotions and creativity. With your focus on this energy center, do you currently feel that your emotions are released and expressed? Moving into your solar plexus, your upper abdomen, this is your manapura, your inner center of power and light. As you breathe into this space, do you feel connected to your inner sense of power, of strength, and light? Bringing your attention to your heart, your anahatta. Right now, in this moment, is your heart open? Now into your throat, your Vishura. Do you feel like you're able to authentically express your voice? Moving into your third eye, your Ashna. Are you allowing yourself to be guided by your intuition? And finally, your crown, your sahasfara at the very top of your head. Do you feel yourself connected to the world around you? Take a nice deep breath, and if you answered no to any of the questions I just asked you, this is your personal guide to what energy system is blocked and what you can give more care and attention to. Use these questions as a self-care guide. And make sure that you subscribe and come back tomorrow because for the next seven days of this challenge, I will be taking you on a deeper dive for opening and balancing each chakra.
