SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Meditation Drip, your daily dose of mindfulness. This is Julie, and we are on day 12 of our 30-day one-minute meditation challenge. Today's mini meditation is a heart opener. So in Sanskrit, the heart chakra is called anhata, which means unstruck or unhurt. When this chakra, this energy center is open and balanced, we feel love, joy, connection, and peace. And when our heart center becomes blocked, often from hurt or fear of being hurt, we tend to withdraw, feel more sadness, and struggle to give and receive the kind of love that we desire. So let's go into meditation together and open our hearts. Place one hand over your heart and gently close your eyes. Take a slow breath in through your nose and a soft breath out through your mouth. With each breath, feel your chest begin to soften. Your heart hears and responds to the words you speak to it. So let's fill it with love and compassion. I'll be taking you through a series of affirmations. Repeat them silently or softly, guiding your words to your heart. And here we go. I am open to giving and receiving love. I am worthy of deep unconditional love. I am allowing my heart to soften and expand. I am healing old wounds with love and patience. I am compassionate with myself and others. I am connected to the love within and around me. I am grateful for the love flowing through my life. I am love. Take one more slow, nourishing breath in and a gentle breath out. When you're ready, softly open your eyes, carrying this heart openness with you. Sending you lots of love. Thank you for being here today and come back tomorrow for day 13 of our challenge.
